Progress – Project Planting Trees

หน้าฝนได้มาถึงประเทศไทยเเล้ว เราหวังว่าอีกไม่นานบริเวณเหล่านี้จะเต็มไปด้วยต้นไม้เเละหญ้าที่เขียวเขียวชอุ่ม

Yesterday a team of WFFT volunteers and staff planted a whopping 300 trees. We planted many native trees that have been grown at WFFT’s Tree Nursery. They were planted within our new Tiger Project land; they included Makha (Afzelia xylocarpa), Golden Shower (Cassia fistula), and Jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus). In a few years time these trees will not only provide rescued tigers with a more natural environment, food for wild and rescued animals, they will also provide much needed habitat for many wild birds, small mammals and insects.

Fallen seeds are sustainably collected from the local area by our horticulturist ‘Aew’. She spends her time planting seeds and nurturing the saplings until they are ready to be planted.

The rainy season has arrived!!! This means we can start this year’s planting season.
