A blind crocodile, named Bond, has been rescued and brought to WFFT, where he's now ready to start a new life in the sanctuary.
Pot Bellied Pig enclosure special project for the volunteers
All our animals deserve the best: clean and appropriate enclosures, species specific food , medical care , stimulating enrichment and the care and love of our volunteers and staff. So this week our brave and committed Wildlife & Elephant Refuge volunteers and staff treated the female Potbellied Pigs to a special project. Because it is rainy season the soil in the enclosure had become pretty muddy everywhere. Even if they do love mud to protect their skin from the sun, they still need some dry parts for several reasons such as being able to walk around easily and having comfortable spots to sleep in the evening or in the shade. So, dry sand needed to be added to their home. Hard physical work that everybody collaborated together in for for the sake of those cute and likeable residents.
