It's time to take action—learn how you can help stop this exploitation and protect slow lorises from further harm.
Let us introduce you to Elsa…
Last week we heard of a young foal that had been badly attacked by feral dogs on a farm close to the WFFT Wildlife Rescue Centre, the WFFT team headed out to help the 3-month old foal. Her wounds were so severe she was brought straight back to the WFFT Wildlife Hospital for urgent treatment. It was then decided in the interest of this special little pony that keeping her at WFFT for intensive vet care was the best thing. Luckily we had a vacant large grass filled macaque field that has just been refurbished so little ‘Elsa’ as we have named her can stay here while she is under treatment along with her mother. When the vet team first saw Elsa they were shocked and were not sure whether she would survive, one week in she is getting stronger and her horrific dog attack wounds are looking better. We are hopeful that she will make a full recovery. Updates will follow.
