Rescued Tigers, Pong and Pang, successfully integrated!

They may be related, but Pong and Pang are like chalk and cheese. Pong is a relaxed boy, whilst Pang is super feisty. Our dedicated team has been monitoring them closely over the last few months in order to integrate them. They used to live together when they were younger at Phuket Zoo, where they were rescued from. There, they were both used as photo props, whacked with sticks to ‘smile’ for the camera while tourists pay for a photo. How their lives have changed for the better, all thanks to kind people like you!

After a slow integration, we are thrilled to say they are now best buddies. It is true brotherly love. They are sharing a large outdoor enclosure and living their best lives now. As captive bred, abused tigers, they could never be released to the wild. But with the help of our amazing supporters, they are getting the next best thing at WFFT. วันที่ป๋องเสือหนุ่มหล่อสายชิลล์ และแป๋งเสือจอมซ่าท้าตบ 2 พี่น้อง ได้กลับมาอยู่ด้วยกัน

ถึงแม้จะเป็นพี่น้องกัน แต่ตั้งคู่ต่างกันสุดขั้ว หลังจากที่ทีมงานคอยทุ่มเทเวลา เฝ้าติดตามอย่างใกล้ชิดในช่วงสอง-เดือนที่ผ่านมาเพื่อดูพัฒนาการของทั้งคู่ว่าจะลงเอยกันได้มั้ย ป๋องและแป๋งนั้นจริง ๆ เคยอยู่ด้วยกันมาก่อนเมื่อครั้งยังเป็นเสือน้อยที่สวนสัตว์ภูเก็ต ทั้งสองในวันนั้นคือเสือถ่ายรูปกับนักท่องเที่ยว หมายความว่า นักท่องเที่ยวจะยอมจ่ายเพื่อแลกกับรูปสวย ๆ ในขณะที่เสือจะถูกตีหรือทิ่มด้วยไม้เพื่อบังคับให้ทำในท่าต่าง ๆ ตามคำสั่ง จนกว่าจะพอใจ ในวันนี้ไม่มีอีกแล้วละ
