Rambo’s Latest Dental Treatment

Recently, our brave and resilient tiger, Rambo, underwent more dental work. Rambo has had a long history of dental treatments since coming to WFFT, and this time, he required root canal treatments as well as a general health check-up to ensure his continued well-being.

Before he was rescued, Rambo endured nearly two decades of suffering in horrendous living conditions as part of the tourism industry. Tigers like Rambo, who are exploited for tourist attractions, often face severe health issues. These magnificent creatures can suffer from dental issues due to inappropriate diets, and may bite the metal bars of their cages out of sheer boredom. The long-lasting impact of this cruel treatment, as well as a lack of veterinary care, can result in significant dental damage and other health problems.

Fortunately, Rambo’s recent health check went well, and his root canal treatments were successful. He recovered well, but as always, our team closely monitors his health to ensure he isn’t experiencing any pain or distress. We are committed to providing Rambo, who also only has one eye, with the best care possible to help him live a healthy and happy life at our sanctuary.

We’re incredibly grateful to the expert veterinary team at Chulalongkorn University for providing Rambo with excellent dental treatment and compassionate care.

None of this would be possible without donations. As Thailand’s only NGO-run Tiger Rescue Centre, we are proud to provide a safe haven for these majestic creatures. A small donation from you can help us continue our vital work in rescuing and rehabilitating tigers who have suffered due to exploitation.

Can you make a small monthly or one-time gift to care for rescued tigers like Rambo? Every contribution makes a world of difference to these beautiful creatures.
