Yesterdays Emergency Case – A Macaque Hit by a Car

Yesterday evening, on a Cha-Am Road a young female long-tailed macaque (Macaca fascicularis) had been hit by a car. She was found by a man from Human Rescue Team who did not hesitate and bring her straight to the WFFT Wildlife Hospital. As soon as they arrived, our Vet Team took care of this little monkey and let her have a restful and distressing night in the Hospital facilities. This morning, after this little girl woke up and calm down (indeed she lived a pretty stressful situation), our Vet Team checked her health and overall condition. It seems that she has suffered some injuries to her brain, the next few days will be vital for this little macaque, she may recover. If so, she will return to the wild where she came from. We will, of course, keep you updated on her future released.
