Rescued – Southern Pig-tailed Macaque

อาทิตย์นี้ ได้มีครอบครัวนำลิงกังใต้เพศเมียชื่อ ‘ ตุ้งติ้ง ‘ ส่งมอบให้ WFFT ให้ดูเเลต่อ

‘ ตุ้งติ้ง ‘ มาจากสงขลา มีอายุประมาณ 5 ปี เเม่มันถูกนายพรานยิงเสียชีวิตตั้งเเต่มันยังเล็ก
เเละได้ถูกจับมาขาย จึงได้รับการเลี้ยงดูจากมนุษย์ตั้งแต่นั้นมา ขณะนี้เริ่มโตมีนิสัยดุร้ายเเละกัดเจ้าของเวลาพวกเขาให้อาหารเธอ

ครอบครัวเลยตัดสินใจส่งต่อให้ WFFT ดูเเลต่อ ดูจากสายตาของพวกเขาเห็นได้ชัดเลยว่า พวกเขารักเเละเป็นห่วงมันเป็นอย่างมาก

ตุ้งติงมีน้ำหนักเกินเนื่องจากได้รับอาหารส่วนใหญ่เป็นอาหารของมนุษย์ เราจะค่อยๆปรับอาหารของเธอมาเป็นอาหารที่มีความหลากหลายมากขึ้นเพื่อโภชนาการที่ดีขึ้น

เเละพวกเขายังบอกเราอีกว่าเธอเป็นลิงที่มีนิสัยอ่อนโยนต่อสัตว์ชนิดอื่นๆ เธอชอบที่จะอุ้ม ลูกเเมวตัวเล็กๆ ไว้ในอ้อมอกของเธอ

เราหวังว่าในไม่ช้า หลังจากที่เราตรวจสุขภาพของเธออย่างถี่ถ้วนเราจะสามารถรวมเธอให้อยู่กับลิงกังใต้อีก 3 ตัวที่เรารับมาได้เเละเริ่มต้นชีวิตใหม่ของเธอที่ WFFT.

This week, a family travelled from Southern Thailand to provide a new life for their pet monkey ‘Tung Ting’.

‘Tung Ting‘ is a 5-year-old Southern Pig-tailed Macaque whose mother had been killed and sold as bush meat by a friend of her owner. The humans that brought her in had raised her from a very young age. She became aggressive as she reached sexual maturity and starting to attack them when they fed her. The family truly cares for her, as you can see from the photographs. Luckily they did the right thing and decided to hand her over to WFFT.

Tung Ting is rather overweight, as she has been fed a diet of mostly human foods. We will slowly adjust her diet to a more healthy varied diet composed mostly of fruit and vegetables. We are told she likes to cuddle small kittens, at her previous home she would carry them around.

We hope she will be able to live with other macaques soon and begin a new chapter of her life. WFFT houses three other rescued Southern pig-tailed macaques, after she has settled in and gone through full health check we will start to introduce them.
