RESCUED – 2 Orphans Arrive in 1 Day – Part 1 – Nam Sai

เมื่อวานนี้มูลนิธิเพื่อนสัตว์ป่าได้ช่วยเหลือลูกสัตว์ป่ากำพร้า 2 ตัวในวันเดียวกัน ตัวแรกคือน้ำใส ลูกลิงเสนอายุประมาณ 3-4 เดือน แม่ของน้ำใสโดนสุนัขรุมกัดจนตายเมื่อ 2 สัปดาห์ที่แล้ว ชาวบ้านจึงได้ช่วยเหลือไว้ก่อนและได้ติดต่อมาหาเราเพื่อขอความช่วยเหลือ ทีมสัตว์แพทย์เดินทางไปรับน้ำใสในตัวเมืองเพชรบุรี เราพบว่าน้ำใสมีขนร่วงเกือบครึ่งหลัง และร่วงอยู่อีกหลายจุดทั่วร่างกาย ตอนแรกทางเราคาดเดาว่าอาจเกิดมาจากขนที่ถูกโกนเพื่อให้แผลที่โดนสุนัขกัดหายเร็วขึ้น แต่ทางเรายังไม่แน่ใจว่าสาเหตุที่น้ำใสขนร่วงมากผิดปกตินั้นเกิดจากอะไรกันแน่ โดยทางเราจะทำการตรวจสุขภาพน้ำใสโดยละเอียดอีกครั้ง ณ ตอนนี้ น้ำใสกินอาหารได้ดีและอยู่ในความดูแลของทีมแพทย์ตลอดเวลา

Yesterday we welcomed two very young infant primates. Firstly we will introduce you to Nam Sai. Nam Sai is a Long-tailed macaque that is 3-4 months old. Feral dogs killed her mother two weeks ago; some concerned locals took her in until they could find a more suitable home for her. They called us and asked for help. We headed out to the city of Phetchaburi to collect her. Nam Sai has numerous bald patches on her body, which we initially thought were from her fur being shaved so the injuries she sustained during the attack by dogs could be treated. However we are not so sure about this, further tests we be performed with the WFFT lab equipment to see if we can ascertain why she has so much fur loss. For now she is eating well and being cared for round the clock by the WFFT Vet Team.
