Rescue, Rehabilitate and Release – Team’s Story

A Remarkable Recovery: Team the Long-Tailed Macaque’s Journey Back to the Wild

We’re incredibly pleased to share that the macaque who arrived as an urgent rescue last month has made a truly remarkable recovery. We named him Team. Despite the life-threatening nature of his injuries, he showed incredible strength and determination. And we are thrilled to announce that he has been returned to the wild!

Team’s Extraordinary Journey

Team’s journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. He was struck by a car in the Khao Bandai It area in Phetchaburi, and shortly after, he was attacked by other macaques. The injuries were severe, leaving him critically wounded.

When we first rescued Team, the outlook didn’t seem promising. His body and brain had suffered extensive damage. But this brave boy refused to give up. One month after being admitted to our wildlife hospital for urgent care, we were able to release him back into the wild—where he belongs.

A Second Chance, Thanks to You

This successful rescue is the best kind of outcome we could hope for: the moment when we can return an animal to the wild. Long-tailed macaques are an endangered species, and every life matters.

It’s supporters like you who make rescues like Team’s possible. Without your help, we would not have been able to give him the care he needed to survive.

How You Can Help

We rely entirely on donations to rescue, rehabilitate, and treat animals in urgent need like Team. Your support can make a real difference. Whether it’s a small or large contribution, every bit helps us save more lives.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
