Orphaned Monkey ‘Baibua’ Arrives

วันนี้เราจะมาเเนะนำให้คุณรู้จักกับ ”ใบบัว” ลูกลิงกังเหนือ(Northern pig-tailed macaque)เพศเมียสมาชิกใหม่ของมูลนิธิฯ เมื่อ5เดือนก่อนใบบัวอาศัยอยู่กับเเม่บนเกาะช้างซึ่งเป็นถิ่นอาศัยของลิงจำนวนมาก อยู่มาวันหนึ่งเเม่เเละเธอถูกรถชน เเม่ลิงได้นอนเสียชีวิตอยู่บนถนนในขณะที่ยังโอบกอดใบบัวไว้ โชคดีที่มีครอบครัวชาวต่างชาติมาพบเข้าเเละดูเเลเธอตั้งเเต่นั้นมา

ครอบครัวบอกกับเราว่า ใบบัวมีอาการผิดปกติไม่สามารถเห็นได้100% สาเหตุน่าจะมาจากการถูกรถชนครั้งนั้น พวกเขาได้พยายามอย่างดีที่สุดในการดูเเลใบบัว ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการให้อาหาร ความอบอุ่นเเละความรัก เป็นเวลา 3 เดือนเต็ม เเต่พวกเขารู้ดีว่าใบบัวจำเป็นต้องได้รับการดูเเลจากผู้เชี่ยวชาญโดยตรง จึงตัดสินใจติดต่อมูลนิธิฯเพื่อให้ดูเเลต่อ

หลังจากตรวจร่างกายเบื้องต้นทีมสัตว์เเพทย์ได้บอกกับเราว่า เธอติดหันหน้าไปทางขวาเเละวนเป็นวงกลมตลอดเวลาซึ่งบ่งบอกถึงความผิดปกติที่สมองซีกขวา เธอจะได้รับการดูเเลอย่างใกล้ชิดจากทีมสัตวแพทย์เเละอีกไม่นานจะได้พบเพื่อนใหม่ ป๊อปปี้ ไมค์ ดัมโบ้ จำปี เเละ หนูเเดง ลูกลิงกำพร้าที่อาศัยอยู่ในโรงพยาบาลสัตว์ป่า

We want to introduce you to ‘Baibua’ an infant female Northern pig-tailed macaque who arrived at the WFFT Wildlife Rescue Centre a few days ago. Five months ago, Baibua was living with her mother on Ko Chang island. One day her mother was hit by a car and killed while Baibua was clinging on to her, luckily a family found and have been taking care of her ever since.

The family told us about Baibua’s unusual behaviour, she seems to have very limited vision and only looks to the right. It seems she has sustained some long-term damage from the accident. Over the past months, they have tried their best to take care of Baibua before realising she needs specialist care, so they decided to hand over to us.

Baibua is a confident little monkey, she is eating well and settling in the her new home. She will be closely monitored by the Vet Team while going through a quarantine period and soon will meet new friends Poppy, Mike, Dumbo, Jum Pee, and Noo Deang the other orphans who under our care in the wildlife hospital.
