New rescue: Chaba, southern pig-tailed macaque

Recently, we welcomed a beautiful three-year-old macaque named Chaba. She was injured as an infant and taken in by a family. Thankfully, they realised Chaba needs the company of her own species, not humans, and requires specialist care – which a human family could never provide. The family contacted us to take Chaba many months ago, but because our quarantine has been full of new arrivals, we were unable to take her until now.

Chaba most likely has no memory of her family and hasn’t seen another of her species since she was a baby. But that has already changed. When we moved her to our quarantine area, Chaba was fascinated and excited to see her monkey neighbours. We are happy we can give her a better life with other southern pig-tailed macaque friends. Once her quarantine period is over, she will be introduced to her new family. In the near future, she will live in an open enclosure full of trees to climb and grass to forage, and her fellow species will teach her how to be a monkey again. ไม่กี่วันก่อนหน้านี้เราได้ช่วยเหลือลิงน้อย “ชบา” อายุ 3 ปี น้องชบานั้นได้รับการช่วยเหลือจากครอบครัวหนึ่งตอนยังเล็กมากเนื่องจากได้รับบาดเจ็บ และท้ายที่สุดผู้เลี้ยงตระหนักได้ว่าชบาควรที่จะได้อยู่กับลิง มีโอกาสใช้ชีวิตในแบบที่ลิงควรจะเป็น และควรได้รับการดูแลจากผู้เชี่ยวชาญ ผู้เลี้ยงดูได้ติดต่อขอความช่วยเหลือเรามาเมื่อหลายเดือนก่อน แต่เราไม่สามารถช่วยเหลือได้ทันทีเนื่องจากโซนกักกันสัตว์ของมูลนิธิฯ นั้นเต็มจึงไม่สามารถรองรับเพิ่มได้ ณ ขณะนั้น
