New Arrival – Baby Macaque, Chaba Kaew

A Brave Baby Macaque in Need of Your Help

Chaba Kaew, a beautiful long-tailed macaque, recently arrived at WFFT after suffering a devastating fall from a tree on the tourist island of Koh Chang. The accident left her with severe spinal damage and paralysis in her back legs. Yet, despite her injuries, Chaba Kaew’s spirit remains unbroken. She is bright, alert, and has a wonderfully sweet nature.

We’re doing everything in our power to help Chaba Kaew on her road to recovery. Her daily care includes physiotherapy sessions, gentle massages, and medication to alleviate the stiffness in her joints and support her other health issues related to paralysis. We are deeply grateful to Dr. Tookta, the dedicated vet at Animal Welfare Koh Chang, who saved this little girl’s life by taking her in and arranging for her safe transport to WFFT.

Chaba Kaew’s future remains uncertain, and while her prognosis is guarded, we are determined to give her the best possible chance at recovery.

But we can’t do it alone. Your generous donations are crucial as we continue to provide Chaba Kaew with the specialised care she needs. Together, we can give her the fighting chance she deserves and hope for a brighter tomorrow.

Will you join us in helping Chaba Kaew heal? Every contribution makes a difference.
