New Arrival: macaque, Charly
We cannot stress this enough, primates are not pets!
This is new arrival, Charly. A young male macaque who suffered in a cage for two years.
He was recently given to a new owner after he started biting and being aggressive, and this kinder owner released this is no life for Charly. He was brought to WFFT where he will be a resident macaque.
Baby macaques are of course cute, but it is selfish and cruel to keep them as pets. They grow up, they grow big teeth, they often become aggressive, and they need lots of space and the company of their own species. If you agree, please give a donation today to help with Charly’s lifetime care. When people buy wild animals and then realise the error of their ways, WFFT is left to pick up the pieces, as well as the bill. We cannot keep taking in animals without help. Please help a little if you can.
