We rescued a wild slow loris after being chased by dogs and discovered she was pregnant. She was translocated back to the wild.
Jiw Regains her Freedom at Thai New Year.
Yesterday ‘Jiw’ a twenty-year-old female Northern pig-tailed macaque was handed over to the WFFT Wildlife Rescue Centre. The lady who handed Jiw over was 82 years old and felt she could no longer for the monkey. The lady clearly cared so much for her but felt she could no longer provide her with a suitable home. Jiw’s mother was hunted from the forest two decades ago, Jiw was then raised by humans from infancy. It will take Jiw some time to adjust to her new chain free life. We do hope that in the coming months she will once again learn how to behave like a monkey. We will update you on her progress.
