Sadly, there are countless gibbons in Thailand living in shocking conditions: exploited and abused for human gain. Here at WFFT we take care of 78 gibbons of six different species. We help them to recover from their trauma after being callously robbed of their freedom and exploited, often for many, many years. Our goal is to give rescued wildlife like gibbons the chance to live the most natural life possible.

Your support and kindness makes this possible for this highly intelligent, social and extremely acrobatic species. What can you do? Don’t take photos with gibbons. Don’t like photos or videos with gibbons interacting with people. Don’t visit attractions where gibbons are kept in unnatural conditions. And of course, support organisations helping this species. 24 ตุลาคมคือ วันชะนีสากลโลก ร่วมกับเราในวันนี้ เพื่อเฉลิมฉลองให้กับลิงเอปเล็กผู้เป็นดั่งนักกายกรรมแห่งผืนป่า และร่วมตระหนักรู้ถึงความจริงอันแสนเศร้าที่ยังมีชะนีอีกจำนวนมากในประเทศไทยถูกทารุณและใช้เป็นเครื่องมื่อในการแสวงหาผลประโยชน์ของมนุษย์ ที่มูลนิธิเพื่อนสัตว์ป่าเรามีชะนีในความดูแลทั้งหมด 6 สายพันธุ์ รวมทั้งสิ้น 78 ตัว ที่นี่เราพยายามช่วยเหลือดูแล และฟื้นฟูความบอบช้ำทางร่างกายและจิตใจของชะนีเหล่านี้หลังจากที่ชีวิตของพวกเขาเคยถูกเอาเปรียบและถูกปล้นอิสระมาเป็นเวลาหลายต่อหลายปี บางตัวเป็นสิบ ๆ ปี เป้าหมายของเราคือการได้มอบโอกาสให้ชะนีเหล่านี้ได้ใช้ชีวิตใกล้เคียงกับธรรมชาติมากที่สุดอีกสักครั้ง
