Bobbie goes home!
Finally back to his family and the green trees!
A young long-tailed macaque we like to call “Bobbie” was rescued several weeks ago after he and his mother were hit by a car. Bobbie’s mother got killed instantly and Bobbie was still hanging on to her on the side of the road. Bobbie’s injuries were severe but our mobile wildlife rescue team and the vets at our hospital were able to get Bobbie in good health again after one week of intensive care and several more weeks recovering. After seven weeks Bobbie was found fit to go home.
Bobbie was returned to his home where is family group still lives. We hope Bobbie will be able to get along well with his family and friends, but we are sure he will miss the variety of fruits and vegetables we fed him during his stay at the wildlife rescue center!
