Shampoo and Hoy, two stunning long-tailed macaques, have recently arrived at WFFT after enduring years in a cramped cage, deprived of sunlight and freedom.
Electrocuted slow loris rescued
Faulty electricity lines number 1 killer of this night monkey
A fully grown slow loris (a nocturnal monkey species) was found badly injured due to electrocution by villagers in Khlong-Thaban, Petchaburi and brought over tho the WFFT wildlife hospital today. The WFFT veterinarian team is working hard right now treating the little monkey. Its injuries are severe but we will do everything we can to bring it back to good health.
Currently our team is treating the burning wounds and will do a full check-up on its body and organs to see how severe the damage is on the rest of the body and in particular its vital organs. An update soon again.
