Give a life-changing gift for rescued elephants

Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand (WFFT) cares for numerous elephants just like Mee Chai, who was rescued from a terrible life of abuse and pain.

Mee Chai used to work in the logging industry, forced to destroy the very habitat her species relies on for survival. When a tree fell and broke her leg, she was sold to a trekking camp. Despite her injury and pain, she was made to carry tourists on her back for many years until she was finally rescued, at 37 years old.

Will you please give a gift today so rescued elephants like Mee Chai can get the freedom, happiness and care they truly deserve after so many years of suffering?

Thailand is home to both wild and domesticated populations of the Asian elephant. The domestic population is sadly made up of elephants who were caught from the wild or bred in captivity. These animals, like Mee Chai, are beaten and tortured, so they can be forced to work in tourist trekking camps, live animal shows, or other exploitative situations, such as street begging or logging.

Rescued elephants in Thailand need your help…

It is only with your kindness that we can provide the best life possible to rescued elephants like Mee Chai, and help them recover from their trauma. Since her rescue in 2017, Mee Chai has lived in an 18 hectare forested enclosure and formed beautiful friendships with other rescued elephants. They spend their days playing, swimming, foraging and wandering their expansive homes. Never again will Mee Chai be harmed by a bull hook or be chained up.

Mee Chai got a second chance in life. But sadly, there are many more out there chained up, often standing all day under the baking sun, who deserve a second chance too.

Please donate today to help our rescued elephants have a better life and to help more elephants out there in dire need. Thank you for any life-changing gift you can give.

Your kindness today can help rescued elephants like Mee Chai get the second chance they deserve.

Anything raised in excess of the funds required for this campaign will be used to support WFFT’s work to help wildlife in south-east Asia. The Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand (WFFT) is a registered foundation under Thai law, Foundation No: T271/2545
