The Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand, or WFFT, home to more than 800 rescued animals, had planned to celebrate its 20th anniversary on 1 May. Instead, we may be shutting many gates for the last time.
Local Education is the key of Thailand obedience involving
We keep saying it each time we have a student group visit but as we always say: education is the key! Here at WFFT it is important for us to teach the younger members of society about problems faced by wildlife on earth, particularly here in Thailand.
That is even more true when the local schools visit us. As local kids they are really concerned by the situation! Indeed, most of our rescued animals are native to Thailand and many have been rescued from the surrounding area.
Teaching new Thai generation is a promise for a brighter future. Who better than these future adults who may be able, one day, to change the world, their country and the ancestral habits which rule animals’ lives.
The interest, deep concentration, attentive attitude and curiosity of the school kids was really delightful for our staff who is always happy to show and explain the actual situation of wildlife issues.
Let’s hope that in the future, the memory of this visit at WFFT centre will influence the understanding of nature and wildlife of those still innocent souls and the destiny of our earth. It Depends on you. Depends on all of us! Let’s stay aware, keep hope and act accordingly.
