พบกับ’ จิฟฟี่ ‘ นกแต้วแล้วธรรมดาที่ถูกนำมาให้มูลนิธิเพื่อนสัตว์ป่าเมื่อวานนี้ จิฟฟี่ถูกเลี้ยงอยู่ในกรงเเคบๆมาเป็นเวลา 2 ปีโดยเจ้าของเก่าจนน้องนักศึกษาได้มาพบเข้าจึงขอมารับเลี้ยงต่อ

น้องมีความหวังดีอยากให้จิฟฟี่เป็นอิสระจึงได้ติดต่อมายังมูลนิธิเพื่อนสัตว์ป่า ขณะนี้จิฟฟี่อยู่ในความดูเเลของสัตวเเพทย์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญเเละจะถูกนำปล่อยคืนสู่ถิ่นธรรมชาติเมื่อมันพร้อมที่จะอยู่ได้ด้วยตัวเอง

นกแต้วแล้วธรรมดา (Blue-winged Pitta) เป็นนกที่สามารถพบได้ในประเทศไทย ตามป่าโปร่งเเละ
ชายป่าที่ไม่สูงจากระดับน้ำทะเลมากนัก หาอาหารตามพื้นดินดังนั้นอาหารจะเป็นจำพวกเเมลงตัวเล็กๆ

Meet ‘Jiffy’, a Blue-winged Pitta who was brought in to the WFFT Rescue Centre a few days ago. Jiffy was kept in a tiny cage for 2 years until a local university student found him and asked us to help out.

Right now Jiffy is in the good hands of our expert vet team, and he will be released back to the wild as soon as we are sure he has the best chance of survival.

Blue-winged Pitta (Moluccan Pitta) can be found in Thailand in deciduous, bamboo and evergreen forests. They hunt their prey on the ground and mostly eat worms and insects.
