Rescue – Injured Brahminy Kite

ทาง WFFT ได้รับเเจ้งมาว่า มีคนเจอเหยี่ยวเเดงได้รับบาดเจ็บอยู่บนถนน บริเวณชะอำ

เหยี่ยวเเดงเป็นนกขนาดกลางที่พบได้ทั่วไปในทวีปเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้
กินสัตว์เลื้อยคลานขนาดเล็กเเละปลาเป็นอาหาร ชอบอยู่ตามที่ราบเเละชายฝั่งทะเล

เบื้องต้นทางทีมสัตว์เเพทย์ได้วินิจฉัยว่าเธอได้รับบาดเจ็บตรงปีกด้านขวาซึ่งค่อนข้างข้างสาหัสคาดว่าสาเหตุมาจากการถูกรถชน ทางทีมจึงได้ตัดสินใจตัดบางส่วนของปีกเธอออก เเต่ก็ยังโชคดีที่เธอยังทานอาหารได้ปกติเเละค่อนข้างเชื่องสามารถให้อาหารกับมือได้ เราคิดว่าเธอน่าจะเป็นสัตว์เลี้ยงที่โดนปล่อยหรือหนีออกมา

สัปดาห์หน้าเราจะมาดูอาการกันว่าเธอเป็นยังไงบ้าง

Earlier this week WFFT Rescue Team headed to Cha-am to rescue injured Brahminy kite that had be found on a road after a collision with a car.

The Brahminy kite is a medium-sized bird of prey that is commonly found in South and South-east Asia. Their prey is mostly fish and small insects, They live along plains and coastal areas.

The WFFT Vet Team found a big wound and a large fracture on her right wing, which is big concern but luckily she still has an appetite for food. She is comfortable being fed by hand and seems rather tame, we assume that she is either a released or escaped pet. We have made the decision to amputate a part of her wing.

The next week will give us a clearer idea if she can make it.
