Update: Dodo & Deena Lovely Couple Reunited

Back in 2009, we rescued a young male Malayan Sun Bear named “Dodo” from a very small filthy cage at a pig farm in Ratchaburi. After he settled to his new life at WFFT, we introduced him to another recently rescued bear, Deena. Deena was rescued in 2010, she was found being kept in a tiny 3m x 3m cage behind a house in Southern Thailand.

Dodo and Deena were housed next to each other for some time and showed great interest in each other. They quickly became friends and lived together happily for a few years. In 2012 Deena gave birth to a healthy female cub who we named Deedo. During the time Deena was raising her cub, we had to move them to the next enclosure due to we want to give her some privacy and in the wild mama bears usually raise their young without the help of the father.

Since then, they have been separated, they communicated to each other through a fence. Deena had recently began to push Deedo away, it was time that she left her mother, in the wild this would have happened a lot earlier. So last week, we re-introduced Dodo and Deena for the first time in years. At first, we thought they might not get along, Dodo and Deena instantly reconnected! Watch this space to see who will be Deedo’s new friend. ย้อนไปในปี 2009 มูลนิธิฯได้ช่วยเหลือหมีหมาหนุ่มชื่อ”โดโด้”จากฟาร์มหมูในราชบุรี
เจ้าหมีมีสภาพผอมโซเเละอยู่ในกรงที่คับแคบและโสโครก ต่อมาหลังจากที่โดโด้ได้ปรับตัวกับบ้านหลังใหม่ที่มูลนิธิฯ ทีมสัตวเเพทย์ก็ได้เริ่มจับคู่โดโด้กับหมีตัวอื่นซึ่งไม่ค่อยเป็นผลสำเร็จสักเท่าไร

จนในปี 2010 โดโด้ก็ได้มาพบ ” ดีน่า” หมีหมาสาว พวกเขาก็พบรักกันเเละได้ให้กำเนิดลูกสาวชื่อว่า “ดีโด้” ในช่วงที่ดีน่ากำลังช่วงเลี้ยงลูก เราจำเป็นต้องเเยกพวกเขาออกจากโดโด้ เพราะเราต้องการให้ความเป็นส่วนตัวเเละในธรรมชาติเเม่หมีจะเลี้ยงลูกของมันด้วยตนเองอีกด้วย

ตั้งเเต่นั้นเป็นต้นมาพวกเขาก็ถูกเเยกออกจากัน จนเมื่อสัปดาห์ก่อนเราได้ย้ายพวกเขาให้กลับมาอยู่ด้วยกันอีกครั้ง! ทีเเรกทางมูลนิธิฯกลัวว่าพวกเขาอาจจะเข้ากันไม่ได้ เเต่เเล้วก็ผิดคาด พวกเขาคุ้นเคย
