Most of our jackals arrived either as a result of human-wildlife conflict situations, or because they were abandoned/ dumped pets. Why anyone would keep a jackal (or any wild animal) as a pet, is beyond us.

As they are mostly nocturnal and a shy species – we’re excited to share this rare footage with you. We don’t see them out and about in their large enclosure very often, so the night camera footage also gives us a good insight into their health and condition.

Fun fact: The Asiatic golden jackal are more closely related to wolves and coyotes than they are to other jackal species.

หมาจิ้งจอกมักตื่นตัว และชอบออกหากินเวลากลางคืน เป็นสัตว์ที่ค่อนข้างขี้อาย ปรกติเรามักก็ไม่ค่อยได้เห็นน้องในบ้านหลังใหญ่ของพวกเขา เราจึงตื่นเต้นที่จะแชร์ให้ทุกคนได้เห็นวิดีโอจากกล้องถ่ายภาพตอนกลางคืน ซึ่งเป็นอีกหนึ่งวิธี ที่จะทำให้เราเห็นถึงสุขภาพและสภาพความเป็นอยู่ของน้อง ๆ ได้เป็นอย่างดี
รู้หรือไม่ค่ะว่าหมาจิ้งจอกเป็นญาติที่ใกล้ชิดกับหมาป่าและหมาป่าไคโยตีมากกว่าหมาจิ้งจอก สายพันธุ์อื่น ๆ
