We're pleased to officially introduce you to Pinthongta - the first rescued tiger from Phuket Zoo. Pin is the first of 11 tigers who will come to WFFT.
Rambo epitomises resilience. Rescued from Phuket Zoo in 2022 after enduring 19 years of neglect in a cramped concrete cage, he arrived at WFFT already blind in one eye and suffering from major dental issues due to poor diet and lack of veterinary care.
We currently have nine tigers at the centre, who were all saved from Phuket Zoo in 2022 as part of the biggest tiger rescue by an NGO in Thailand’s history.
Half brothers, Pong and Pang, have been successfully integrated! These Phuket Zoo rescued tigers may be related, but Pong and Pang are like chalk and cheese.
