1. VETERINARIAN – LWRC
For the Laos Wildlife Rescue Centre Wildlife Hospital, we are looking for an experienced veterinarian to
start in January 2017! You will be joining our small and dedicated team to further establish Laos’ first multi species wildlife rescue centre.
Requirements:
– Able to work independently as well as being a team player.
– Flexibility and out of the box thinking a must, as is being able to work in the field or with basic equipment.
– Minimum 2 years’ surgical experience.
– Experience and knowledge of wildlife medicine and husbandry.
– The position includes both field work and office work. Experience with veterinary data programming required.
– Excellent written and spoken English is a must.
– Thai or Lao speaking is considered an advantage.
Package:
– 1-year contract
– 1000USD/ month
– 6 workdays a week – 5 days off a month

2. WFFT VOLUNTEER OFFICE COORDINATOR/ASSISTANT WILDLIFE VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR
Job Description
The successful applicant will be managing the volunteer coordinator office, processing volunteer applications and preparing them for their time at WFFT, liaising with volunteer partner organizations, coordinating and supervising the day-to-day work of volunteers. Please note that this position will be mostly office based but within some of the responsibilities of the role you will be working directly with the rescued wildlife and other departments at WFFT.
• Management and maintenance of the current wildlife volunteer program of WFFT
• Office administration – responding to emails from volunteers and partner organizations, monthly invoicing, booking volunteer transfers, among other desk based responsibilities
• Welcoming volunteers and conducting volunteer inductions
• Supervising the daily routines of wildlife volunteers
Desired Skills/Qualities
• Volunteer/staff management experience
• A good command of spoken and written English, knowledge of Thai language would be an advantage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to work under pressure
• Experience working at international NGO’s
• Experience working with captive animals – rescued wildlife
• A love of wildlife and a well-rounded interest in wildlife conservation

12,000 THB per month

3. WILD ANIMAL RESCUE NETWORK (WARN) ADMINISTRATOR
This position will be mostly based at the WFFT Wildlife Rescue Centre in Thailand but may require overseas trips to other WARN member organisations. This is the first time we will have a person solely dedicated to the development and organization of WARN, we are seeking a highly motivated team player who is capable of working independently as as well as of a large team of people.
Requirements:
– Able to start by the end of the year
– Minimum 6 months’ commitment
– University student/graduate in relevant field OR relevant work experience
– Skilled with photography, website building, graphic design etc. would be at an advantage
– Excellent written and spoken English is a must.
– Thai or other South East Asian language skills would be considered an advantage.

4. WFFT ASSISTANT ELEPHANT VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our current team of volunteer coordinators here at the WFFT Elephant Refuge and Education Centre. The successful applicant will be assisting the current WFFT Elephant Refuge volunteer coordinator with coordination and supervision the day-to-day work of volunteers and the day-to-day care of the WFFT herd. The WFFT Elephant Refuge currently houses 18 rescued Asian elephants ranging in age from 2 to 65-years-old. All the elephants in our care have come from abusive pasts.
Requirements:
(NOTE: This position is only opening to Thai nationals)

Job Description
WFFT runs a successful day trip program into which we welcome quests from all over the world to visit the WFFT Wildlife Rescue Centre to explore our centre and learn about the work we do. We are looking for a wildlife loving hardworking team player to join our dedicated team.
You would be working as part of a small team of dedicated wildlife enthusiasts and conservationists, living onsite at one the most active wildlife rescue centres in South East Asia. The main duty of the Tour and Education Guide is predominantly giving educational tours to guests but may also include running education work shops with school children, working on WFFT Animal Adoption Program, planning and coordinating volunteer day excursions, assisting with the care of the animals, and other administration work such as telephone bookings from guests and partners, and answering emails. WFFT has recently launched an Eco Lodge where we welcome guests to join us for the evenings. The Tour and Education guide will also be required to communicate and organize guest bookings prior to their arrival and take care of these guests during their stay throughout the evening and day time.
Main Responsibilities
• Welcoming guests and giving educational tours around the rescue centre
• Working in educational visits and programs for visiting school children
• Office administration work including making bookings via telephone or email
• Planning and coordinating volunteer day excursions such as trips to Thailand’s National
Parks
• Taking care of guests who join us for longer stays in the I-Love-Phants Eco Lodge
including evening and day time care, providing a friendly base for guests to call to. Desired Qualities
• Good English speaking and writing skills
• Interest in wildlife conservation
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of issues surrounding wildlife conservation in South East Asia
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience volunteering or working in South East Asia
• Experience working within the tour industry and with the education of school children Thai language skills would be an advantage
Monthly salary to be discussed during interview
1 day off per week plus 2 weeks’ annual leave

6. PUBLIC RELATIONS INTERNSHIP – LWRC
At LWRC we are offering an exciting opportunity for the right candidate! We are looking for a skilled student/recent graduate for a voluntary work placement as our primary PR assistant. Ideal as internship or to gain work experience!
Requirements:
– Able to start as soon as possible
– Minimum 3-6 months’ placement
– University student/graduate in relevant field OR relevant work experience
– Skilled with Photoshop, video programming, website building, graphic design etc.
– Perfect English skills/Native English speaker (Thai/Lao skills a plus)
– Photography skills
