First Phuket Zoo tiger at WFFT

Introducing 12-year-old Phuket Zoo tiger, Pin

We’re pleased to officially introduce you to Pinthongta – the first rescued tiger from Phuket Zoo. We’ll be calling her Pin for short. She is around 12 years old. Sadly, right now, she can barely walk.

We have given her the option to venture into the outside area of the side enclosure, but after a long trip yesterday, she has spent most of the day relaxing in the cool inside area.

She is incredibly thin and has a huge abscess in her mouth which may have been causing difficulty in her eating and an infection. She has also been de-wormed and will continue to receive the veterinary care she needs.

Pin is so sweet! She chuffs at the staff and comes over to say hello. Today she has been eating well but has slept most of the day – it was a big journey for her yesterday!

Pin is the first of 11 tigers who will come to WFFT. Once we have the permits for the others, we’ll be straight back down to Phuket.

เวลาส่วนใหญ่ไปกับการพักผ่อน ในพื้นที่อากาศปลอดโปร่งด้านใน
พินน่ารักมาก พินเดินเข้ามาใกล้พนักงานของเราและส่งเสียงพอใจออกมาเพื่อทักทาย และกินอาหารได้ดีในวันนี้
