One of our rescued Asiatic Black Bears, Ginny, was suffering with a 3rd eyelid protrusion and recently had surgery to bring her much-needed relief.
Treatment of bears at temples
Mobile wildlife clinic goes out saving bears!
WFFT’s mobile wildlife clinic not only goes out and rescue wildlife in need of help to be treated at the WFFT hospital, but we also go out to check out and treat wild animals kept at temples, private homes and other locations. We do not agree with the keeping of wildlife elsewhere but at least can improve the lives of these wild animals before they can be moved to better places or are being rescued. We are able to go out on these missions thanks to the help of the BORN FREE FOUNDATION, who have given us a grant towards the WFFT mobile rescue team.
Awaiting to be moved to a proper rescue centre, our staff is here treating bears at a temple in Southern Thailand.
